A combined fat and starch separator is an apparatus for separating and storing solids, fats and oils of animal and plant origin contained in greywater and for retaining peeling debris. A starch foam spraying system is installed above the arrival of effluents from the potato peeler. The control of the spray system must be controlled by the peeler. The device, as standard, is equipped with a manhole primer of Ø 750, optional, the device can be equipped with a collar and a screw cap Ø 600 (OD3 / CV600 / ... ). On this cover can be mounted extensions to screw height 250mm (option RH602). A V100 sludge zone is integrated in each device. Our devices comply with the NF EN 1825-1 standard and are CE marked. The grease retention capacity is 40 liters per l/s
Grease and starch separator silt storage, size 8 to 20l/s in PRV
Regarding small communities and professional facilities, collective kitchens, restaurants, the obligation to install grease separators results from the standard departmental health regulations and the public health code. For agro-food industries, it is essential to send the CCTP of a technical design office to establish the sizing of a suitable device.
Refer to the PHPRV-NC installation manual before handling and installing the separator. Carry out ventilation Ø 100 (pricking at the level of the manhole primer) allowing the evacuation of gases as high as possible above the ridge. It will be capped with a device preventing the passage of insects and small animals.
Remote extraction DN80 is possible by commanding option OD3 / 1924. The installer must supply and install a pressure PVC suction pipe to be connected to the outlet of the appliance and must place the firefighter fitting supplied with the option at the curb.
The separator should be inspected, drained and cleaned regularly, attention is drawn to the need to comply with national or local regulations regarding the disposal of waste. The frequency of inspections, emptying and cleaning should be determined according to the grease and sludge storage capacity of the separator and operational experience. Unless otherwise specified, the separator must be emptied, cleaned and filled with fresh water at least once a month, and preferably every 15 days (EN 1825-2).
